Instagram captions can be up to 2,200 characters and are like subtitles describing what you want to tell with the photo or video you shared .
Here are some ways to add captions to your photos on Instagram:
- Open Instagram and capture a new post image or upload your photo or video from your camera roll.
- Tap Next and select a filter or edit your media.
- Tap Next again and tap in the text field that says “Write a caption.”
- Type your caption and tap OK > Share (iPhone) or Share (Android).
You can also add captions to your Instagram stories by following these steps:
- Head to the Instagram Stories or Reels camera and either record or upload a video from your camera roll.
- Once uploaded or recorded, tap the sticker icon.
- Select the “Captions” sticker.
